Opening calls are indicating a flat open this morning after Spain’s bond yields rose sharply yesterday, indicating that the debt crisis plaguing the euro zone could return.
Asian stocks rose after Japan posted an unexpected trade surplus. In China, the HSBC flash purchasing managers index showed the PMI had slipped to 48.1.
In the US, stocks came under pressure after existing home sales figures came out lower then expected.
Euro Area Flash PMI will be issued this morning.
Investors await the Initial Jobless Claims figures and the leading indicators for the US that will be issued this afternoon.
