Opening calls are indicating a lower open this morning as the EU summit is under way.
The Nikkei and the Hang Seng indices are both trading lower in the current session.
The US markets closed lower yesterday. Futures are indicating a lower open though it all depends on how things turn out in Europe.
European leaders will resume talks at 9:45am UK time on Friday morning and Croatia will sign an accession treaty to the European Union at 10:30am.
Talks will begin at 11:00am UK time and a press conference with the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and the President of the European Council, Herman Van Rompuy is expected to take place around 3:00pm.
Germany’ Bundesbank will issue its semi annual economic forecast at 10:00am UK time on Friday and economic data to watch includes UK trade figures for October at 9:30am and third quarter provisional GDP from Greece at 10:00am.
