STEPHEN GAUCI BALUCI

Stephen is the Head of Fund Services for Calamatta Cuschieri Fund Services Ltd.

He oversees the daily operations of the Company and is the clients’ first point of contact on all matters. He is focused on ensuring that the company maintains the highest possible level of client satisfaction.

Stephen joined Calamatta Cuschieri in 2012 as a Senior Fund Accountant. In this role he was responsible for the preparation, planning, organising and leading a team of fund administrators in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly NAVs.

Prior to joining Calamatta Cuschieri, Stephen worked in the Fund Services division of a leading local bank, where as a Fund Accountant he was responsible for the preparation and review of NAV calculations in respect of a variety of funds.

Stephen began his career with PWC in 2006 and over a span of 4 years he occupied a number of posts up to Supervisory level. The major highlights with PWC include overseas assignments in both Jersey and New York where he had the opportunity to form a leading role in multi-disciplinary teams auditing multi-billion dollar hedge funds. His focus on these assignments included performing testing in specific high-risk areas.

Stephen holds a B. Accountancy (Hons.) degree awarded by the University of Malta in 2006.  Since 2009, Stephen has also been warranted as a Certified Practicing Accountant and Auditor.

STEVEN GRECH

Steven is the Operations Manager for Calamatta Cuschieri Fund Services and is responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of the division. He is focused on ensuring that the company maintains the highest possible level of client satisfaction.  Steven is the clients’ main point of reference on operational matters.

He is also the Compliance Officer and MLRO for Calamatta Cuschieri Fund Services. He leads the team that provides compliance services to Collective Investment Schemes.

Mr. Grech has over 7 years experience in the funds industry specialising in Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency, including anti-money laundering. In 2010 he obtained the Diploma in Fund Administration Services from the Institute of Financial Services, Malta in collaboration with the University of Manchester.
